I hired this attorney expecting them to actively represent and advocate for me. During my initial conversations with her, I was given the impression that we would have no problem taking my case to trial and had a strong chance of winning. That confidence and willingness to fight for my case was a maj...or reason I decided to hire her. However, when the time came to seriously discuss going to trial, the conversation changed significantly. I was repeatedly stressed about how much additional money a trial would cost, and I felt that she began backtracking on things that had initially been communicated to me and on the confidence that led me to hire the firm in the first place. After paying for representation, I did not feel the communication, effort, or advocacy on my behalf met my expectations. Personally, it felt as though there was more interest in closing out my case than fighting for the outcome I had hired them to pursue. I felt like my case was being written off rather than fully advocated for. The entire experience was incredibly disheartening. There is a helpless feeling that comes with being in a legal situation where you depend on your attorney to fight for you, only to feel like your own representation has lost interest in pursuing your case. I felt powerless and disappointed, especially after the expectations that were set when I initially hired them. This is entirely based on my personal experience, but based on that experience, I would not hire this attorney again. I encourage anyone considering representation to ask very detailed questions upfront about trial strategy, anticipated costs, and whether the attorney is genuinely prepared to take the case all the way if necessary.
