I met with Mr. Steven Everts today over a very frustrating child custody case that was possibly going to require an appeal. I researched, called and interviewed with a variety of other appelate qualified attorneys and was convinced Mr. Everts was by far the best choice before I even met him. Today, I... was even more impressed with his depth of knowledge and experience on this random matter that many family attorneys will never likely encounter . He has been an attorney long enough to know how to properly navigate such a difficult situation and provided a great amount of insight and strategy for my upcoming hearing. It was also very refreshing that he actually advised against his own better financial interest and instead recommended I continue with my current attorney until the appeal process. Even if you are not changing attorneys it may be worth a few hours of his time to review your case and have him offer his extensive expertise and knowledge of various experts in the area that could be of assistance. We left today feeling more hopeful than ever that things could possibly turn around and even if they didn't and I have to go through an extensive appeals process, that he is even better in person than the amazing appeal attorney profile that I read about online. I could not be more impressed with this attorneys kindness, professionalism, general concern, and honesty. These are traits that are not always common in the legal industry. It is vital that you work with someone that you trust when it comes to the matter of your child's safety and well being. I wish I would have started here on day one.

Immediately I felt at ease with Mr. Everts. Dealing with legal matters can be very intimidating and scary especially under my circumstances. After meeting with a few recommended lawyers I was ready to go . Until a colleague said, you should meet with "my guy". I said no I am ready to go now, I have been served (papers) already and I am running out of time. He said just meet with him you won't be disappointed. Steve stuck with the facts that he knew were the most important parts to drive home the evidence needed to win the case. Before my results were released by the judge, I told everyone that no matter what happens if I end up losing ( which I didn't) its not because of my lawyer because he was outstanding. His passion and drive to win for his clients may not be noticeable to the naked eye, but trust me it's clear that I won because I had the best lawyer by far.
