Tyler White focuses his practice on Elder Law, including ALTCS/Medicaid planning; veterans benefit planning; and advance care planning.
Education and Honors: Tyler graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2002, and then graduated from Chapman University School of Law in 2006. During law school, Tyler served as Staff Editor for Nexus Journal and Executive Editor for Chapman Law Review, and earned top honors in Mediation, Wills & Trusts, and Legal Research and Writing. After law school, Tyler earned a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Utah, where he was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha for academic achievement.
Professional Activities and Experience: Prior to joining Jackson White in 2012, Tyler served as a judicial extern at the California Court of Appeals and a judicial clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals. Tyler has argued at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Arizona Court of Appeals, and has helped draft briefs in a wage and hour collective action before the Supreme Court of the United States. Tyler has assisted innumerable clients with the ALTCS eligibility process, and has represented clients at all stages of the ALTCS eligibility process, from planning to the highest levels of judicial appeal. For years, Tyler co-authored a weekly column for publication in the Arizona Republic, titled “Aging and the Law,” and he has further co-authored several widely distributed elder law resource guides. Tyler has been asked to speak on elder law issues by a variety of respectable organizations, including NAELA, Alzheimer’s Association, and AHCA. In previous years, Tyler served on the board of Parkinson’s Network of Arizona, and he is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
