I was in the beginning of a mixed up confusing divorce. I sought Steve for legal aid. After the free consultation, I had hired the man. He made every thing transition very smoothly, and helped me along accepting payments. That meant a lot to me, as I was trying to put myself together at the same time.... As time went on, and I am a worry some guy, always geared up for the worse, Steven embraced it, and guided me step by step. In the end of things, I got everything I was asking hoping for. Well where do I start, I had an attorney prior to my attorney now and she did not represent me right, never returned my calls, addressed none of my concerns in the court room, which I can honestly say put my daughter in harms way by her lack of professionalism and charged me ALOT of money! Then I inq...uired online with several attorneys and was skeptical of every single one, UNTIL I found Steven E Sufrin, he is awesome. Steve called me back first thing in the morning and LISTENED to what I was saying, RESPONDED to my questions very directly making it clear how knowlegable he is, he knows his stuff, no sugar coating or manipulation either, he just said look, this is what needs to be done, this is the next step, he told me stop freakin out he'll take care of it, let's do this! Which I have to admit at that point in my case I was a wreck. I came into his office that day, gave him all my paperwork, and he has held up to his word ever since! He keeps me informed on everything I need to know, but at the same time he doesn't contact me unecessarily to rack up my bill,but most importantly HE is THERE when I need him! Steve has been doing divorce/family court cases for 20+ years so he's definetly been around the block... which makes him very versatile in his profession and his ability to represent his clients well, as every case is unique in it's own way. I've seen him in the court room on multiple occassions, he's always early or on time,he's prepared, suited up and lookin sharp. During the hearings, he addresses my concerns, is very attentive to what the other party and the judge is stating, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks, he is ALWAYS practical and uses a lot of common sense and knowledge when he represents me, yet he is also respectfully aggressive if necessary to defend me. Keep in mind each case is different, so retainers can vary, but out of 15 inquiries he was the lowest amount to retain which I appreciated being a single mom of two. Honestly I have a very complicated case and he truly has made the MOST out the money I have given him, which makes every penny worth it! Always save the best for last right? This attorney did not help me thoroughly with my battle against mother. Even tho mother was in contempt for many things and I wanted to obtain full decision making. Mr. Sufrin made me settle to agreements with opposing party when he could of potentially gone to trial and fight for what was right for ...this case. Now mother is back in contempt of other things when this could attorney could of performed better. I ended paying Mr. Sufrin more than 4 grand for a lousy settlement. DO NOT HIRE HIM.
