What a sense of relief not to have to fight this battle anymore. I expressed wishes to make decisions that weren’t necessarily going to be profitable for him in the long run. My priority was not to create any more collateral damage to my daughter during this process. I felt an identification with family values. The dilemma was how to regain financial assets after being turned out of a home I shared with my ex-husband, heavy debt I signed for and not a penny of assistance from him.
