I was referred to Mr. Donald W. Powell by Legal Aid. Mr. Powell was willing to take my bankruptcy at a time in my life when I was going through a serious financial hardship. During this time, my car had just been repossessed, my wages were being garnished, and I was doing in homecare for my mother ...who was in hospice. Although, I was going through my own major medical crisis, Mr. Powell was able to meet with me on a Tuesday morning where he provide me with specific instructions as to what he needed in order to expedite my case so my car would not be sold on Saturday. Mr. Powell was able to put my bankruptcy case together and get all documents filed by that Friday (3 days). As a result, I was able to get my car back the following week and the wage garnishment was stopped immediately! I appreciate the fact, I only had to deal with him and his wonderful paralegal/assistant. They were truly amazing. His paralegal/assistant stayed late and Mr. Powell even came in after returning from an out-of-town business meeting in Tucson to complete my case and got it filed the next day to stop the sale of my car!
