Susan

I retained Susan in November of 2011. She came highly recommended by an attorney friend that had interned with her. Upon taking my retainer fee as well as a check fir 3,000 she failed to represent me. She showed up clearly intoxicated to a temporary order hearing, did not respond to phone calls, gav...e privileged information directly to my opposition. I am trying to get fees returned, however her gross negligence caused major damage in my family law case. She nearly ruined my family!

Vanished into thin air

I used Susan Elliott in 2011 for custody. At first she was great and called me back and kept me informed. At the time she was working with Laura Edwards and Associates. I have nothing bad to say about that law firm. Susan however, stopped working for them. She told me she was going to open up her own... law firm She said she would still represent me even though she left Laura Edwards. So I had Laura Edwards sign off my case so that Susan could sign on. Well Susan never did that. She stopped returning my phone calls and then her phone became disconected. I have never heard from her since. This allowed my ex and his attorney to sneak in a few things that were never discussed and I kind of got screwed on. I know own money for an attorney that didn't finish out my case and that I had to finish myself. Not a good attorney at all.

(Very simple IAH case) and we only have one 5 mins phone conversation and she assured me everything is ok on the Thursday evening. She told me she will review the case an...d call me on Monday the day before the hearing. No call on Monday, tried to get in contact with her on Tuesday, no reply. Got an Email 1 hour before the hearing. “Ok I have discussed this with Susan. Under the current circumstances, Susan is prepared to elicit your testimony and possibly that of your neighbors. However, the documents you have listed below are not relevant to the case and they are inadmissible to the Court Since you are represented by an attorney, that attorney cannot seek to admit irrelevant and possibly unmeritorious documents; if that is done, the attorney could quite possibly be sanctioned by the Court. Therefore, if you choose to have Susan represent you at th
