Ethical, Honest and Kind

Lack of communication
He was extremely hard to reach and didn't do what he said he was going to do, especially upsetting and disappointing since I paid his fee up front.

Replied last November 12, 2019Because this is anonymous I cannot know who this former client is. I give almost all clients my personal cell phone number and speak with them on evenings, weekends, and even on vacation. Additionally, whenever I have taken a flat fee in advance, which is very rarely, I have spent far more time on the matter than the fee paid. Other than a legal prohibition against an action, the only reason I have ever failed to do something for a client, it is because I'm asked to do something that is not in the client's best interest. I always communicate that determination to clients in no uncertain terms. I would be very surprised if all of that did not happen in this case. I would be happy to discuss further with this former client offline, and I wish him the best.

Richard Lyons is a terrific lawyer. He helped my take on the VA and was by my side the entire way. He supported me when I didn't think I could go any further. Richard made the VA stand up and take responsibility for their actions. The best lawyer ever.
