unable to contact my attorney and she has NEVER contacted me

I have left messages with her secretary asking to get a call back from my attorney. Not once in 8 months, which is how long this case has been going, have I ever once received a call or even a text message, let alone am email to discuss my case. Today would have been the end of the case but she didn'...t show up for court and didn't bother to contact me, nor have anyone from her office reach me to go over any finalities. Now we have had to reschedule court another month out. Nobody seems to have the ability to answer the questions that I have to help me resolve my issues, nor seem to be working hard in my favor. I do like my attorney very much. At first she was very helpful, talked candidly with me and gave me good advice. I'm feeling EXTREMELY frustrated because there wasn't anyone by my side in court to help me. I understand that people do get sick from time to time, but there is not one good reason to never have received a call. It would be nice if I actually had my attorney to assist me with my legal issues. I'm struggling to make the right choice in regards to my children and I desperately need the assistance of the person who is meant to represent me.
