This is a real story about what Mr. Campos accomplished

In 2016 I was convicted of a horrible thing that had lifelong implications. What I didn't know was some due process was bypassed, statutes assumed and evidence that I didn't know existed was withheld from my defense team. My lawyer at that time didn't have any understanding to the statues, and the ...a Judge told me that the plea deal is what I needed to take or potentially go to jail for 5-15 years. Scary proposition for someone who didn't even have a parking ticket. I didn't know the truth as a legal scholar to know what to believe or not. I just knew that I was not guilty of what they accused me of, but I took the deal convinced it was my only option in life. A year after conviction, I found the evidence I had been hunting and an appellate attorney and they were the worst decision that I ever made. They took $15K and another year of waiting only to receive a cut and paste motion that was written by a law student (proven later). This motion was struck down and dismissed by the judge that heard my case the first time. After a year long dispute with the Arizona Bar Association for me to prove their ineffective assistance I could move forward again. Eventually in 2020 this law firm was heavily sanctioned and suspended from practicing law completely. However, I was still a convicted felon, without legal representation, without money and now 4+ years after my case concluded. A tough sell for any Court to hear. That's when I found Mr. Campos. He recognized multiple constitutional violations and flaws with the case itself. He recognized that I received a deal that was far worse than what I would have even received in a courtroom if I was found guilty. We filed our second PCR on the correct issues in Feb 2020, which again went in front of the judge that I saw the first and second time and again he ignored it and dismissed it due to being “untimely” and outside the widow to file a PCR. Mr. Campos continued to fight and appealed it to the Arizona Board of Appeals. The Board of Appeals unanimously found that this judge convicted of a "crime that didn't exist" and the constitutional violations that the judge ignored were indeed accurate. Violations that had NO time constraints to be heard by a court! I was a free man finally. The state refiled the original charges a second time and Mr. Campos went to work a second time. After multiple attempts of trying to communicate with the state Mr. Campos let them know that we were going to start proceedings in taking it to trial and he gave the reasons why they would lose if they chose to do so. After one round of negotiations with the state, we agreed on a plea deal that was a misdemeanor charge and 90 days of unsupervised probation. A long fall for them from a class 3 felony, a lifetime of probation and 5-15 years potential jail time! Even though we could have won in court, it was much better to take the plea and then have the misdemeanor and probation set aside in 30 days then it was to spend another $20,000 and another year of my life fighting. The point I want to make is this, as the judge at my plea hearing said a few weeks ago, what Mr. Campos accomplished was absolutely "the results of good lawyering". She was taken back by the extent which he turned the case around from the beginning. At the end of the day Justice is ONLY what you pay for and the key is how skilled your lawyer is in fighting for you. My first legal team has billboards all over the valley and I spent tens of thousands of dollars thinking I was getting the hype when in all reality I was getting a puppy mill paralegal with a briefcase. Do yourself a favor, if you want results this is the person you need to work with. This is a real story. Not that I will ever need a criminal attorney again, but if I ever did, there is only one person I will ever call. Do yourself the same favor.

"I endorse Robert Campos without reservation. I have know Robert for nearly 13 years. I have done trials with him, and I have also seen how he works his cases. If you have an appeal or a case you want to take to trial, Robert is a criminal law specialist and one of the top criminal defense attorneys in Arizona. He is not afraid to fight for what is right or to take matters to trial when necessary. I would hire Robert for any close friend or family member if I ever needed to. Not only do I know he would never leave any stone unturned but he is very honest, trustworthy and demonstrates true compassion above and beyond other lawyers. He sincerely cares about those he represents and defends."
