Hi. I’m Laura – and at some point, you’re probably going to need my help.

I’m an attorney, but I’m also your biggest ally in the complex world of business and technology. You don’t have to be a technology (or social media) expert to know how to run a business. And you don’t have to be a business person to run a technology company. But – you do need to know someone who can help you navigate the landscape of both of these arenas from a legal perspective. That’s where I come in.

Unlike a lot of lawyers, my work is broad-based because it needs to be. My practice encompasses intellectual property, data privacy, employment, e-commerce/internet law, First Amendment/defamation, and business divorces. Through my vast experience across a wide range of practice areas I am able to foster the needs of savvy business owners (and not-so-savvy ones as well).

The most meaningful part of my client relationships aren’t always those considered “mission critical”, like litigation. While being a trial attorney is a large piece of my puzzle, I foster and empower entrepreneurs by understanding both how their business operates and how they want their business to succeed. My goal is to nurture my clients through collaboration, not just a strict to-the-letter view of the law.

Whether they’re interacting with customers through email, the cloud, or e-commerce, I strive to make sure my clients are aware of the potential risks and rewards of using those platforms.
