Joseph M Atkinson

Joe is board certified as a Specialist in Real Estate Law by the State Bar of Arizona. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell (the highest possible rating), and has been listed in Southwest Super Lawyers, Arizona's Finest Lawyers and Marquis Who's Who in American Law. Joe has 30 years of legal experience in complex real estate transactions, commercial leasing, commercial finance and a wide variety in business law matters, from golf community development to water law. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to closely held family businesses and individual entrepreneurs.

As a member of the Governing Council of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Arizona, Joe served as editor-in-chief of the Real Property Journal, published quarterly. He has lectured on various real estate and business law issues and has served as a TV panelist for "Lawyers on Call," a production of 12 News (NBC Phoenix), assisting callers with real estate problems.

Joe received his law degree from the University of Chicago, and his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, where he received the Finfgeld Award for best intercollegiate debater. His community service includes a term as president of Rosson House-Heritage Square Foundation, a non-profit corporation concerned with historic preservation in Phoenix. He is a licensed pilot with over 800 hours of flight tie in a variety of aircraft, including gliders.
