Timothy Sparling’s legal career began as an extern with the Maricopa County Superior Court. He then went on to represent everyday people in insurance coverage cases. He graduated as a Trial Advocacy Fellow from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and has practiced criminal law since. He began his criminal practice with the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office specializing in serious felony cases. He quickly became known for handling complex, multi-million-dollar white collar cases with a focus in litigating restitution issues. He has appellate experience and is a named attorney in published Arizona Supreme Court precedent. Timothy became a seasoned general criminal practitioner following his transition into private practice and continues that practice today.

Timothy makes significant contributions to criminal justice reform and public policy. He previously served as Vice Chair and Finance Director on the board of legislative district 26 and worked as Strategy Officer and Interim Finance Director for the Will Knight 2020 campaign. He also fights for criminal justice reform as a Legislative Advocate for Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice and has worked directly on issues regarding police civilian review boards, death penalty exoneration processes, public disclosure of police bodycam footage, and drug policy reform. Timothy serves on the Death Penalty Subcommittee of Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice and has received media attention for his legislative work from the Arizona Central and ABC15.

Timothy is also a figure in the legal community. He is a graduate from the Arizona State Bar’s esteemed Bar Leadership Institute. He also regularly teaches law courses on legislative research methods for the Arizona Public Defender’s Association and has previously taught classes on criminal restitution, Miranda and voluntariness, legal writing method, and cross-examination. He has received recognition for his pro bono work and is a published author in the Adelphia Law Journal and the OpenSIUC online publication.
When not fighting to defend his clients in the courthouse and at our State Capitol, Timothy dedicates his time to business planning and development. He is also an avid reader and video game player and enjoys spending time with loved ones.

Disorderly Conduct/Criminal Damage

I was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage. Tim was extremely knowledgeable and polite through the entire process. He discussed every possible contingency to put me at ease. The case resulted in the best possible outcome. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Professional, competent, responsive

Several months ago, I received a criminal speeding ticket in Scottsdale, I was so nervous and didn't know what to do. I called Rosenstein Law Group based on a friend referral. Tim was assigned to my case, and he was so polite, informative, and explained all the process and the choices that I have. I felt reassured and a positive feeling. Tim and Crystal were very cooperative and always answered all my questions. At the end, Tim was able to get me defensive driving school at sentencing. Accident

Was in a head on collision, was in a coma for almost two months, most traumatic thing that had ever happened to me. Was told I was brought back numerous times in the ER. Tim representation couldn’t of been better. Was with me for over a year, saw everything through in detail. Very thankful for continued commitment to my case. Highly recommend.

Saved my career

I initially started out with Jonathan and Craig and Tim stepped in to help. They explained to me exactly how the process went and what needed to be done on my part and to be patient and let the process run through. They were very professional and thorough especially with the documentation and knowing what to do having been a prosecutor in the past (Jonathan). The prosecutor tried to push through the grand jury without my side of the story and Tim confirmed they didn't read my side. They were then forced to send back to the grand jury and to my happiness was dismissed. Would definitely recommend friends and family to this firm. Thanks guys!

hard working, aggressive negotiation, best possible outcome.

Mr. Sparling was very profession and straight forward. He didn’t promise me a rose garden, but he did promise that he will do everything he can for the best result and be an aggressive negotiation. I was glad I hired him, and he took over my case not even a week before my second pretrial conference. He was able to do a quick proper turnover with the previous attorney. He also kept the line of communication open and answered all my questions. I became very confident with him representing me in my case from day one. On my third pretrial conference he explained in detail multiple approaches to get the best result. He was able to negotiate a diversion in my case which I was very grateful, and it allowed me to be able to have a clean record so I will always be able to provide for my daughter in her future. I will highly recommend Mr. Sparling and is the best representation of Rosenstein Law Group.

Excellent Service and Positive Outcome

The Rosenstein Law Group followed up with me within 12 hours of my initial inquiry. I inquired Saturday evening and they followed up Sunday morning. I chose Rosenstein over other law groups in the area because of their responsiveness, speed at getting me in front of an attorney to review my case, and experience in the Scottsdale area. Tim was extremely communicative and accomodating of my schedule throughout the process. Tim thoroughly answered every question I had throughout the timeline of my case and appeared for me in court causing very minimal interruption to my work schedule. Tim was able to efficiently drive a positive outcome for my case and I felt very confident I was in good hands throughout the whole process. Highly Recommend

I hired Tim because I had a very unfortunate event happen to me. Never, in a million years did I believe calling for help would land me in handcuffs, in jail and facing not 1 but 2 misdemeanor charges (domestic violence and assault). I’ve never been so distraught and confused in my life. I couldn’t have been more fortunate and lucky to have hired, Tim Hezekiah. He took care of my case from the very beginning to the very end. He went to my court dates, went through my case with a fine tooth comb and did his due diligence in interviewing all parties involved in the incident. His hard work and dedication with leaving no page unturned, eventually lead to my case to being dismissed. I whole heartily believe that if I hadn’t hired Tim, I would be sitting here today with unfair charges and a criminal record that could impact my career.
