Matthew Douglas Spring

Matthew has practiced law in Southern Utah since 2012. Prior to that, he practiced exclusively in Las Vegas and southern Nevada. Matthew has a wide range of experience in handling a variety of legal matters for clients including: commercial litigation, civil litigation, collection actions, probate, landlord representation, contract drafting, employment arbitration, administrative representation, estate planning, company and corporation formation, criminal representation, small claims, divorce, adoption, child custody, mediation, and creditor claims in bankruptcy.

While in law school, Matthew served as an intern in the United States District Court, District of Nevada, with the Honorable Judge Robert C. Jones. His duties included reviewing pleadings, conducting legal research, and providing bench memorandums to Judge Jones in preparation for hearing oral arguments on various motions. During his first year of law school he was trained as a mediator and volunteered for two years as a mediator with the Neighborhood Justice Center, wherein he mediated a variety of disputes. He also participated twice in the Moot Court competition at the William S. Boyd School of Law. Prior to entering law school, he worked in education and in banking as both a teller and in financial services.

Matthew is married and has two small children. He is active in volunteering with his church. He is an Eagle Scout. He enjoys reading, watching sports, cooking, and spending time with his family. Mr. Spring also speaks Spanish.
