Professional, Honest and Caring

Kim and her team made the immigration process easy. Everything was explained clearly leaving no questions. This process can be confusing and even scary at times. Since Kim and her team took over, the confusion and fear has gone away. Kim is genuine and has cared for both my spouse and me. I have... recommended Kim to several family members and would not hesitate to retain her again if needed. The value far outweighs the payment. I trust and respect Kim and can't thank her enough for the support she has given my family.

INCREDIBLE

Kim and her wonderful team helped me through the green card process successfully. My husband and I did everything we could to do the right thing. It was wonderful to have Kim working alongside us and doing everything in her power to make sure we submitted the best application. When we received a Requ...est for Further Evidence, she met with us a few times to help prepare another file that went through no problem. She and Grant are incredible and really have your best interests at heart! They want to help you as much as they possibly can and are super reasonable about how they charge you. THANK YOU KIM!

I strongly recommend Kim!!!

It was a very pleasant experience working with Kim. We are based in LA and applying for family-based green card. Kim made sure to communicate with us promptly and whenever we sent her an email she almost replied immediately. It was a lot of documents for her to go through but she had it done a lot fa...ster than we expected without compromising the quality of work. She was so focused on small details to make sure everything was perfect, which is also probably the reason why we never got a RFE and the whole process was like a rocket ride for us. I had been through the painful H1B process three years ago, my lawyer at that time was not very good. Hard to communicate and super careless, which brought me a huge RFE and I had to pay a lot extra to complete the application and my approval notice arrived 4 months after the normal time. It was devastating and stressful. Comparing that to my experience with Kim, I know the difference between a bad lawyer and a good lawyer, and the consequences that it could bring. That's why I am super grateful for Kim's awesome work. I strongly recommend Kim if you are seeking legal help. You only go through this once, why not make it easy and less stressful for yourself?

Would not recommend!

My fiance and I went to Kim for help and guidance with my fiance's immigration papers. Before we even went into her office, she was rudely barking orders to her assistant. Once we were in, she rushed us through our appointment and hastily told us what we needed to put together. She gave us the option... of her filling out all of the paperwork and filing it, or have us fill it out and have her review it to save money. We decided to save money and just have her review it. My fiance went back to have her review all the paperwork by himself, and he got very frustrated. She didn't hardly explain anything, and rushed him out of the office. She didn't listen to his questions. She just quickly told him what was wrong and pushed him out of the office. We decided to go to a different lawyer just to double check our paperwork once we fixed what she told us was wrong, and I'm so glad we did!! She told us that he only needed 6 passport pictures, and that we made enough money for me to support him. The new lawyer said that we needed 8 passport pictures, and that together we didn't make enough money. We were able to get a new affidavit of support and successfully complete our paperwork. I'm so grateful we didn't send in all of our papers after meeting with Kim Buhler. We would've wasted over $1400 there and have his forms get rejected! Going to Kim Buhler was a waste of time and money. I DO NOT recommend going to see her for any legal advice!

I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you and your fiance had with me during your consultation. While I always try to be focused on each of my clients through all consultations, I must not have been at my best that day. I appreciate getting the review, however, because it allows me the opportunity to see where I can make improvements. We have put new policies in place at my office so that this will not be the experience of anyone in the future. In my 20 years of immigration practice, I have not ever sent in 8 passport pictures with a residency application so I'm not sure what your other attorney looked at. Every attorney, however, has their different styles so maybe that was the new lawyers preference. As for the Affidavit of Support issues, the regulations are very clear that if your fiance made $19,662 then he met the poverty rate. If he didn't make that amount then we would have had to multiply the difference by 3 and find those in assets or else get a joint sponsor. I sincerely regret that you had a negative experience at my office. If possible, I would like to make this up to you somehow. If you have another case in the future that you need assistance with (ie: removing conditions of residency in 2 years) I would be happy to meet with you at no cost to answer any questions that you might have. Please remind me of this message so that I give the free consultation promised here. Again, I sincerely apologize for the experience you had at my office, but thank you for your feedback. As stated above, this gives me a chance to improve and change some of my own - and our office's - policies.

Green Card Help

I was very impressed with Kim. Not only was she the most affordable lawyer I could find for help with getting my green card, but she was also extremely professional, genuinely kind and really knew her stuff. She saved my wife and I weeks of time trying to figure everything out on our own. Kim is awes...ome. I would recommend her to anyone!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
