I hired Mr Ovard for my case in Toole Utah on a reference from a friend who had a unrelated criminal incident at the Salt Lake City airport and had a good experience with him. Kyler represented me in a felony DUI case. I was facing a minimum of 62.5 days in jail and a maximum of 5 years in prison. Because of his recommendations and tremendous effort, I received an ankle monitor for the minimum 62.5 days, enabling me to continue working and going to school. We were so blessed to have come upon Kyler and Josh from Sharifi & Baron. We do not live in UT but had an unfortunate incident happen while visiting there. Kyler returned my first call after 7 at night and listened to our incident. I knew right then that he would work hard for us in proving our innoc...ence to the charges. We had total trust in his representation of us when we had to come to court hearings and when he got us excused from them, being out of state. Towards the end of May in 2014 I was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up getting a Minor In Possession of Alcohol. I was very worried because this was the weekend before my high school graduation and I had just received a full-ride scholarship to a great school so I was very worr...ied that I could have gotten those all taken away from me in the blink of an eye due to a bad choice that I had made! Thankfully I was able to get contact with Kyler and as soon as I spoke to him on the phone he was very reassuring and helped me feel a lot more confident about my case, I met with him in person and he was very personable and friendly. He also showed a lot of sympathy that you would not expect from many lawyers, he made you feel like he really does care about what happens to you and how to get the best possible result. He gave me the game plan and we stayed in contact through email and phone after that. Over email he writes very short and straight to the point responses which is great but it did make me feel a little uneasy at times. Overall, Kyler helped me be able to lessen my charge drastically and he was able to demonstrate effectively to the prosecutor that I am a good kid that was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
