Although Jared has experience in many areas affecting business disputes, he focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation—including disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Because his academic studies included biomedical engineering, computer science, and electrical engineering, he is particularly adept at understanding and presenting today’s complex, interdisciplinary technologies in court.
Jared has appeared in state and federal courts across the country and has been admitted to the California and Utah state bars. He has also represented clients during appeal before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Jared is recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers as a rising star in intellectual property litigation and has been recognized among Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business Magazine. He also excelled in law school and served as Senior Editor for the BYU Law Review and as a board member of the BYU Trial Advocacy Team.
In addition, Jared is a registered patent attorney, and he uses his experience enforcing intellectual property rights to help his clients apply for high-quality patents and trademarks that will withstand the rigors of litigation.
