Lorina A. Tester

Lorina began her career as an associate in New York City in 2000, where she secured employment authorization and green cards for professors, scientists, business professionals and physicians, from around the globe.   

In 2003, Lorina joined the University of Utah, a prominent national research institution and one of the largest employers in the State of Utah. Lorina has expertise in matters involving employment visas and green cards for faculty, researchers and doctors. For several years, Lorina filed more H-1B applications than any other attorney in Utah. She also has significant experience with F-1 international students, J-1 researchers, scholars, trainees and interns, J-1 waivers, SEVIS compliance, and foreign medical graduates. 

Lorina established her own law firm in 2010 and immediately began representing clients at startups, spinoffs and rapidly growing business entities. She represents: public and private companies; entrepreneurs and international investors; multinational corporations; professional athletes; directors, production companies, ballet dancers, and, performing artists.

Lorina is actively involved in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, having twice been elected Chapter Chair, serving as a Member of the AILA Board of Governors and appointed by AILA’s President to the national Verification & Documentation Liaison Committee. She currently serves on the USCIS Nebraska Service Center Liaison Committee.
