Jake Lee

Jake Lee is the founder and Managing Attorney of True North Injury Law. He has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers in the Top 40 under 40, the SuperLawyers organization as a rising star, and sits on the board of governors for the Utah Association for Justice.

Jake graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Art degree. While in college and before law school, he did paralegal and marketing work for a Utah law firm. Jake completed his Juris Doctorate at the California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While at law school Jake was the winner of the Distinguished Advocate award in trial competition and became a school ambassador for prospective students.

Fresh out of law school, Jake already had a passion for helping injured people. He founded Summit Disability Law Group to serve the needs of disabled Utahns trying to get social security disability benefits and authored the Utah Social Security Disability Handbook. At Summit, Jake developed a sterling reputation among judges as an outstanding advocate who worked tirelessly for his clients.

Jake later joined forces with Christensen & Hymas, known today as Good Guys Injury Law. During his years there, Jake settled hundreds of personal injury cases and recovered millions in compensation for his clients. He became the managing attorney at Good Guys where he trained and coached new and existing lawyers and paralegals to do outstanding work for their clients.

Jake built True North because Utah injury victims deserve a law firm that reflects their values and will work tirelessly on their behalf. True North is a place where you can find a combination of experience, dedication, and personal attention.

However, Jake’s activities extend beyond the court room. Jake is actively engaged in the legislative committee of the Utah Association for Justice. He is responsible for passing several bills which have made a huge difference in the cases of wrongfully injured people.

When Jake is not at work, he loves traveling, eating good food, listening to good music, and most of all spending time with his wife and two daughters.
