This is not an honest man. Charles actually told me to sign and return a contract that he hadn't even read! When I realized there was not one single redline or change, I pressed him to see if he'd even looked it over. At first, he texted back yes. But when I kept pushing, he said he'd only checked th...e deal points and they "looked inline." THEN, when I reacted with outrage because I'd nearly signed a document that contained language that wasn't in the previous contract and would've committed me to more than what I'd agreed to do, he essentially admitted he hadn't read it at all and told me I knew the deal points best so I should vet it myself! What? Vetting the contract was what I was paying him to do! And after I fired him, he puffed up his hours to take almost all the retainer money, even though he'd done barely anything. Do yourself a big favor and stay away!

The gaslighting is truly next level. Without question, the worst attorney I’ve ever hired. You'll be better off representing yourself. Even if Charles offered his services for free, I still wouldn’t hire him because working with him feels like a guaranteed failure. I never got my money back. After firing him he inflated his fees to keep my retainer and had the nerve to send me a bill for over $7,000.

I consulted with Mr. Charles Onwuche and had a few extremely negative interactions - I don't know if he is actually a licensed lawyer but I can say he did not conduct himself as one. Beyond the many misrepresentations, Mr. Charles Onwche owes me money - a fee that should have been returned after a no... show. There are no good lawyer ethics I can speak of - the exact opposite. I will be filing a compliant with the state bar as well. I would recommend anyone with good sense stay far away from this troubled person or don't pay him any money - you won't get it back.
