Jill L. Coil

Ill be short and sweet. I hired Jill to represent me in a custody case through a referral. After so spending over $15,000 on her, I ended up with worse than the “worst case scenario” that was discussed prior to entering any courtrooms. That $15k got me one appearance in front of a judge then pressur...e to settle a mediation that i was told would be bypassed prior to retaining her. Dont waste the money that she charges to “review” your case and fill you full of nonsense. Most definitely dont waste the money retaining her. You will do just as well representing yourself.

So many other friends and attorneys told me that I would have to settle with little custody in Utah because I'm a dad. For good dads that want to be a big part of their kids' lives this can be hard hear. After using another lawyer that encouraged me to settle for things I didn't feel comfortable with... Ultimately they helped me change custody from me having 40% custody to me having sole custody of my child when my ex moved away. This is what other attorneys told me was impossible to do, but Coil Law made it possible through their diligent hard work and knowledge of the Utah legal system. They also won me about $15,000 in legal fees from my ex which was amazing and so helpful. After working with other attorneys and interviewing over a dozen more to see if they were a good fit for my case, Coil Law was the obvious choice. They're honest, highly communicative, empathetic, and most of all they fight hard. Divorce is hard enough as it is, so make sure you have an ally that you can trust who will fight for you. I highly recommend Coil Law if a divorce is something that must happen for you.

Jill has been hired as our lawyer twice now. We we're very impressed how efficiently she handled our son's custody case. Therefore, when we had the misfortune of having to go through another custody battle for our daughter, we went straight to Jill. Our daughter's case was much more complicated. W...hen we had questions and needed to know something, Jill or her wonderful assistant would return our call, texts or emails in a timely manner. When special circumstances came up, Jill would show her concern, and go the extra mile to try and help. Jill got us the results we were hoping for and more! The only thing that was difficult for us was the cost. However, they say you get what you pay for...so if you want favorable results Jill and her staff are your best choice!

My divorce proceedings began in the summer of 2013. I knew this was going to be a difficult divorce. My now ex- was a stay at home mom and therefore would get the kids automatically. My first attorney, who I eventually fired, has been in the business for many many years. By comparison Jill, is young in the business. Don't let that concern you in any way. She is intelligent, straight forward, and perseverant. 5 Stars is not a high enough rating in my opinion. I only wish that I had started my divorce proceedings with Jill.
