Sherri was my attorney for many years. She was wonderful to work with on the several divorce decree modifications my exhusband brought, but our real trouble started when he challenged me for custody of the children. Sherri struggled greatly navigating issues with custody. After spending tens of thous...ands of dollars over three years, I hired a new attorney who settled our case in four months at a fraction of the cost. While Sherri did great work on parts of our case, she seemed overly influenced by the opinions of others and it got to the point it felt like we were just catering to the other side. My new attorney took a much different stance, and as a result, things changed very rapidly. I worry that if I had stayed with Sherri, in the best case, I would have spent exponentially more money in the long run, and in the worst case, I would have lost custody of my children. Bottom line: if you have a basic divorce or modification, Sherri is probably fine. If it’s your children on the line, you deserve better representation.
