My name is Jeff, I have been self employed for 34 years and over the course of my career and a prior divorce I have hired many Attorneys and I will tell you Melanie is the BEST!! I hired her to represent me in a very ugly divorce ( # 2 ) I think this case would be considered one of her craziest, the ...opposing counsel was unethical in their practices and very difficult to work with. Melanie worked with me over the course of 2 1/2 years and the case went to trial, Melanie ALWAYS comes to the table very prepared and knowledgeable about the laws, she is firm in her motions and always follows through, she is tough, prepared and best of all and very unusual for an attorney truly cares about you and your outcome. We worked very close on the divorce case ( Melanie knows more about me than my own Mother) and I will say that it wasn’t pleasant but I know she did the very best for me and always truly cared about me, her office people are great as well. I promise you will not go wrong in hiring Melanie.

I contacted Melanie and her firm for assistance with my divorce case. In the beginning Melanie was understanding and accommodating to my case. But quickly I realized that my emails and texts were taking longer and longer to get responses for. It was also alarming that I never received a contract w...ith her firm. Only invoices. Looking back, it is disturbing that I was never presented with a contract that legally obligated Melanie to act as a fiduciary. The only legal document I saw was when I was told I had to pay. The invoice did not break down expenses. The case dragged on needlessly for six months. I ultimately dropped Melanie and went with another attorney. I would not recommend. If you do go with her, I highly suggest you require a contract outlining invoices with breakdown of costs. As well as a contract with a fiduciary clause so she is obligated to act in your best interest.
