"I worked with April when she was just beginning her legal career. She didn't follow the traditional path of going straight to law school after completing her undergraduate degree. She had a successful career as a regional manager for a large, well-known retail business, before she attended law school at UI. This real life experience served April well as she started her legal career. My firm was lucky enough to have hired April as a summer legal intern when she was finishing her final year of law school . My partners and I (who was still an associate at that time) were so impressed with her abilities that we offered her an associate position at the end of her internship. I was able to watch her develop and grow as a new attorney for the 6 years or so she worked at my firm. I think the best thing I can say about April was that was a hard-worker, always a professional and she was on the partnership track at my firm. For her own valid reasons, April decided to open her own shop. 5 **."
