Kimberly Danielle Brooks

The firm's website makes a lot of promises about how well it’ll serve clients. But it would appear Kimberly Brooks -- who didn't represent me but a relative -- FAILED MISERABLY. What’s telling is she would almost never meet with her client in person and, when things got tough, gave her client the im...pression she couldn't care less (but still billed for full payment, of course). There certainly seems to be a lot of validity to the MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS everywhere on the web given to Brooks Law in Nampa. Beware!

Kim is by far the most professional lawyer I have ever worked with. She handled my case with grace and the utmost professionalism. I am so impressed with her and her staff throughout my custody case. Ms. Brooks came highly recommended and had a reputation for being a “bulldog” in court. Midway through the process her entire staff completely turned over, not a single person other than herself remained with the firm. My entire file was lost and filing deadlines were missed and I was charged for ext...ra time spent submitting documentation that I had already provided. When I questioned her, I was given no explanation for the turnover and told I could seek new counsel. She left zero opportunity for conflict resolution, clearly demonstrating that bulldog reputation. I did seek new counsel and was told time and time again to go back to her because it would be more cost effective than starting over. I made several attempts to work with her and although at times she clearly had the skills, she also strangely seemed to have a different agenda than mine and gave me conflicting information or completely omitted options all together and it was often in conflict with what & who I was up against. Another client confronted her on unethical billing practices: ie, billing at attorney rates when the paralegal was clearly doing the task. It confirmed my concerns. I have since learned that the order she drafted is incredibly vague and the x is now using it to inflict financial abuse. I again requested her services to file a modification to the order and was told Ms. Brooks raised her rates and I would have to produce an additional retainer of 3k. I explained that I had already been working with Ms. Brooks and the response was indifferent. Extremely disappointed.
