also known as R. Jordan Gardner, Jordan Gardner
I’m an estate planning and probate attorney serving clients throughout the Treasure Valley and across Idaho. I help individuals, families, and business owners create practical estate plans, navigate probate, and make thoughtful decisions about protecting their families, assets, and businesses.
My background is somewhat different from the traditional estate planning attorney. In addition to being a lawyer, I have a degree in accounting and have experience as an entrepreneur and business owner. That background allows me to look at estate planning from several angles—not just the legal documents themselves, but also taxes, business interests, asset ownership, family dynamics, and how a plan will actually function in the real world.
My practice includes wills and trusts, powers of attorney, probate and estate administration, business succession planning, and planning for families with more complex assets or circumstances. I am licensed to practice law in Idaho and Utah.
I also believe estate planning should be understandable. Clients should know what they are signing, why their plan is structured the way it is, and what will happen when the plan eventually needs to be used. I try to make the process straightforward, conversational, and focused on the issues that actually matter to each client.
I live in the Treasure Valley with my wife and our four sons. Having a family of my own is one of the reasons I care deeply about this area of law. Estate planning is ultimately about people—making life easier for the people you love and giving them clear direction when they may be facing an already difficult time.

“This matter arose from a representation during my second year of practice. The Bar found several mitigating factors, including no prior discipline, no dishonest or selfish motive, full cooperation, inexperience, positive character evidence, and remorse.”
