Raised in Vail in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, I am privileged to call Eagle County home. I come from a family of Colorado Buffaloes and was in the first class in the new Sturm College of Law building on the University of Denver campus.
I went to Law School at age 35 and therefore had a fair bit of "life experience" before making this life change. I have sold toys in retail, slung drinks in the restaurant business, did bookkeeping for a mini storage, processed and underwrote mortgage loans, and now, of course, I practice law.
I have tried cases in Adams County, Arapahoe County, Elbert County, Weld County, Larimer County, El Paso County, Jefferson County, Chaffee County, Lake County, Summit County, Mesa County, San Miguel County and my home county of Eagle.
The case types I have tried are contract disputes, defamation claims, landlord tenant evictions and damages claims, wage claims, permanent protection orders, dissolution of marriages, divorces, custody disputes, allocations of parental responsibilities, post-decree modifications, jurisdictional disputes, family and step-parent adoptions and guardianship designations for both minors and adults.

I was lost at the onset of my family law case. Pitler and Associates P.C came highly recommended to me by a friend. When I initially met with Kristen she was sincere and was willing to tell me everything about my case, even the hard truths I didn't want to hear. Kristen was very professional, knowl...

Kristen approached situations in a non-emotional manner, looking at the totality of the circumstances. She is able to look for additional issues that may arise and takes the time to do extensive research to make the best decison for the situation. Unfortunately many of the issues are emotionally ful...

When I came to Kristen for help with custodial changes I had no idea what I was getting into. My ex had what I thought was a very aggressive attorney who did everything from dig into my background, finances and friends to my ex sending police to my house for "well baby checks" to make sure I was stil...
