As a lifelong small business guru and entreprenuer I decided to go to law school to learn new the secrets that lawyers have and to make better business decisions. This happened in part because my company was struck by a major lawsuit, which could have easily been avoided with appropriate legal advice. The cost of this lawsuit was more than my entire education.

In law school I quickly realized that my business minded perspective put me in a different position than the rest of my peers. This lead to my pursuit of a JD/MBA.

The benefit to clients comes from my perspective of purchasing legal services for 10 years before attending law school. I know what it is like to be on the other side of the table.

With both degrees focused heavily on entrepreneurship and funding. The focus has helped me have a broad set of skills for all sizes of companies. Both from the concept of product issues (e.g. product liability and Intellectual Property) as well as process issues (e.g. Operating agreements, funding issues, business formation issues).

While my education and career started as a business pursuit, where my expertise lies, I have found these abilities translate to my general legal practice as well.
