Chris Richter works on behalf of injured workers to get them the benefits they are entilted. Chris primarily works in the area of workers' compensation but his firm is capabable of handling many of your injury needs whether it is a motor vehicle accident, personal injury claim, or social security claim.
In 2006, after graduating from University of Colorado Law School and passing the bar exam, Chris found himself applying for an opportunity at the precursor to Killian Davis Richter & Fredenberg. Chris believed the firm was a good fit for what he wanted to do with his law career: represent injured people and workers to help them get back on track after devastating injuries. Having never been to Grand Junction, Chris was not exactly sure what he was getting into. However, Chris quickly came to appreciate the Grand Valley and all that it has to offer as a hidden treasure and great place to raise a family.
Through his time at KDRF, Chris has worked in all areas of litigation handling cases from a life-shattering propane explosion to typical workers’ compensation and social security disability cases. Currently, Chris focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation cases. He believes this allows him to provide the best service to his clients by allowing him concentrate on all the details that come with working in a field of law that is constantly changing and requires quick decisive action for injured workers who have families to support.
When Chris is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and son. His hobbies include mountain biking, snowboarding, getting on the river, and hiking with the family. Chris also loves watching his kids sports and even helps coach baseball.

"Chris was my mentor when I was a brand new work comp attorney. He has incredible knowledge of the complex laws and procedural rules of comp. With his clients, he is accessible, empathetic, and patient. He is well respected by both sides of the bar and the bench, and as such is able to resolve many issues without the injured worker having to go through litigation. When he does go to court, he is always prepared, persuasive and does an excellent job advocating for his clients."
