Joel Fry attended the University of Texas in Austin for his undergraduate degree and Texas Tech University School of law. He graduated with honors from both schools.
At Texas Tech he was a member of the Law Review and Board of Barristers and won the award for Best Oral Argument at the 1981 Moot Court Competition sponsered by the American College of Trial lawyers.
Joel Fry practiced in El Paso, Texas for 17 years with the law firms of Kemp, Smith, Duncan & Hammond and Moreno & Fry.
Since moving to Durango, Colorado in 1999 Mr. Fry has concentrated on criminal defense.
