Good morning Anonymous! I would encourage you to contact me with your concerns directly. In a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, you are required to list all debts and assets and you cannot exclude items such as your mortgage. A reaffirmation agreement allows you to continue to pay the mortgage under your pre-existing contractual terms despite the bankruptcy. We haven't had any problems with getting lenders to file reaffirmation agreements on time this year, so I'm unsure where your problem is coming from, but even if a reaffirmation agreement wasn't filed, you can still continue to make payments on the house and you retain all of your equity. If your reaffirmation wasn't filed by the lender on time, I can reopen your case to get it approved by the bankruptcy court. Just give me a call and we'll make it right for you!
