Drake Douglas Larson

I hired Mr. Larson to assist me with my divorce. Unfortunately, I slowly discovered Mr. Larson is only interested in how much money he can make off of people. He did not "fight" for me at all and simply told me to take what the other side offered. Every time we spoke he always cut it short and said h...e had other things to do. He was simply not an advocate for me in anyway. Once I told Mr. Larson I was starting to run low on money, he stopped returning my calls and dropped me as a client. The reality is, I gained nothing by hiring Mr. Larson. I would be exactly where I am today if I had just represented myself. As has been mentioned, Mr Larson does have a bit of a temper and battles impulsivity, which he has a tendency to project onto his clients. I recommend finding someone else.

Drake Larson, I thought you were withdrawing from my case? How are you billing me for another $600 in the second week of October when I just paid you over $2,000 for the first week? You are billing me exorbitantly too much and it’s really ridiculous. I will not be giving you anymore of my money... or time. Please withdraw from my case immediately. Also, I’m not the first person you have done this to as I’ve seen your reviews on avvo.com. I’m seriously considering reporting you to the Colorado bar association for malpractice. Your work on my case has been terrible and you have accomplished nothing to my satisfaction. You agreed $1,000 a month was more than enough for your fees after my original $3,500 retainer. This has not been even close to reality. You and your firm are a joke. You should also consider refunding me some or all of my money. You will get nothing but bad reviews from me on every platform I can find.

After waiting 5 days to speak with Mr. Larson regarding new temporary orders, I emailed asking if the treatment I received was his standard practice. He was able to answer that question quite promptly by quitting my case. He has already charged most of the $3000 retainer, but assures me he will send ...a final invoice with the rest so I can find other counsel before my next court date. His representation was lacking from the beginning and I should have followed my instinct to fire him sooner. He took me halfway through a custody case not remembering my kid's names or any of the key points of the conversations we had. Then he quit when I voiced frustration at his unwillingness to answer pertinent questions. 0/10 would not recommend.

I contacted Drake for a consultation when it became clear the mother of my children and I were no longer going to remain together. She pulled all sorts stunts and Drake and I were in constant contact for months because of it. He was always very courteous with his time and didn't bill for every li...ttle thing like my previous lawyer. He was also very upfront about cost at every step of the way. Any time I ever need legal counsel, I will be coming to drake first from now on.

I the petitioner hired Drake Larson for my family law attorney. Come to find out he was representing my estranged husband which was a conflict of interest. Every time I spoke to Drake, he always told me I was going to have to pay alimony to my soon to be ex-husband, which caused a lot of anxiety, I ...felt like he represented my soon to be ex better than me. Then my ex got another attorney and Drake did everything the other attorney wanted him to do. I fired him and obtained another family law attorney. My new attorney discussed with me all the paperwork which Drake had incorrectly filed with the courts. A very incompetent lawyer.
