Biography
Kayla is an associated attorney based in our Colorado Springs office. Kayla graduated from the University of Denver before attending Creighton University School of Law. While at law school, she interned with the Colorado State Public Defenders and also worked as a clerk at a local family law practice. Kayla was the Vice President of her law school and competed in the National Trial Advocacy Competition where she finished as a semi-finalist. Kayla graduated Cum Laude with a concentration in litigation.
Prior to joining Burnham Law, Kayla worked as a Colorado State Public Defender. During her time there she worked on thousands of criminal cases of all levels including over 75 jury trials. She gained extensive experience in the courtroom and honed her skills to become a zealous advocate for all her clients.
Kayla’s experience in both a family law and criminal setting has given her a unique skillset and ability to advocate zealously for her clients. Whether your case ultimately culminates in settlement, mediation, or trial Kayla has the proven experience to work for you. She knows that cases are extremely emotional and uses her past experience to help her clients navigate these hard times while also working tirelessly to get the best possible outcome.
In her free time, Kayla spends time with her family, including her two dogs, camps, and loves to enjoy a good brunch.
