Divorce representation

Mr. Travis and his paralegal Dauna were wonderful in representing me in my divorce and child custody case. They were both very knowledgeable about laws, and detail oriented in preparing my case. I was extremely impressed with their explanations of all of my questions. Mr. Travis spent time talking w...ith me about a situation that could have potentially gone negative on me with my kids, and helped me form a positive plan to present in my hearing. The outcome for me and my children could not have gone better. Their firm was also cost cautious. I will definitely hire Travis Law if I ever need legal representation in the future.

High Conflict Divorce

Mr Travis, Dauna & his team were exceptional! From the very beginning of my case they made me feel at ease, listened thoroughly and explained in detail to what possible avenues I had as options. I was dealing with the worst time in my life with two young children and they were able to calm my nerves,... help me understand the legal system and ensure that before every single court date I knew exactly what to expect and that I was FULLY prepared going into it. They were prompt in returning phone calls/e-mails and I never felt like a burden when I needed to discuss something. My case lasted nearly 18 months due to the nature of case and some on-going issues with the situation however I can honestly say I believe that the outcome of my legal peace of mind was directly related to that fact that I hired the right lawyer. In the court room it was amazing to see how truly prepared he was, he knew my case inside & out. He had notes but barely needed to use them. It was abundantly clear to that he is able to articulate and is well thought out in his stances. I am so thankful I hired him and plan to do so if I would ever need to need legal services again. I highly recommend him!

Best money spent. Hand down!

I chose Rich Travis' Law Firm to represent me in a parenting-time case. Rich and his colleague Mitch were incredibly thorough, precise, and gave my case the specific attention that it required. Additionally, their paralegal Marissa Sterrett is incredibly sharp, organized, efficient, and has a keen ey...e for detail. This office asked insightful questions to gain a better understanding of the history of my case, which was very useful when I had to testify in court. Rich's staff gained my trust early in the process and took the very best care of my case to ensure a victory in the courtroom. They managed to do all of this while maintaining financial transparency and a desire to stay within my budget. Mitch presented options in my case with the legal and financial ramifications, so I had a lot of data to make my decisions. My only mistake was not hiring Rich Travis' office at the very beginning of my divorce process, I would have had much better results early on in my case.

Rich Travis

Rich has taken care of two problems for us. An attempt to change visitation rights by our greatgrandson's grandparent and now assisting with a granddaughter's divorce situation. In both cases he kept us in the loop.

The A-Team

Richard Travis, his firm and the rest of his team (Mr. Anderson, Dauna, Mary, Adele, and JoAnn) are all consummate professionals, from the attorneys and paralegals to their receptionist. I hired Richard Travis at the nascent stages of my highly contested custody battle in 2008. I obtained his firm’...s contact information from my local USAF JAG office at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My case lasted a grueling 8 years. Technically, you could say it’s on hiatus or in a “cold war” phase. The case had its ups and downs many times through these 8 years, from a legal and relationship standpoint. However, I’m truly grateful I kept Rich and his team throughout the entire case. By keeping Rich, a certain amount of continuity, investment, and personal bond and connection existed, especially in the final 3 years of my case. There were ups and downs with the case of course, as with any ordeal. But during my family’s dire need of a go-to legal team, and when I (we) needed this requirement the most, I was very rest assured and at ease to have Rich and the rest of his A-team at my side. Yes, I called Rich and Dauna my “A-Team.” I was able to sleep soundly at night knowing that Rich was there at my side in the court room. In family law, for custody battles and divorces I’m sure, it’s hard to feel much optimism. You don’t feel like you win much of anything. Emotions are very high in these situations. Personally, I was going through a lot this whole time. Rich’s outstanding courtroom appearances and having him and Dauna work tirelessly preparing for every court appearance as well all those times in between court appearances, their efforts removed a tremendous amount of stress in my life. I couldn’t put a price on that. Legal fees are going to be high any where you go. However, most people don’t realize the time and stress taken up by these highly stressful times. Of course, there are do-it-yourself legal documents provided by every county court house, and you can save money in the short term. I’ve done this myself. This can work in some situations. Unfortunately, this may not be the most viable and best long term cost solution, for contested and especially for highly contested cases. Not having a legal team or the best-fit legal team to critically think and defend you in a clairvoyant and effective manner under highly stressful times may not produce desirable results, and possibly at the detriment of your children. I’m truly grateful for what Rich and Dauna have done for me and my son. Not enough thanks goes to these two.
