Jill Gookin

Jill Gookin of Gookin Law LLC has been in private practice for the majority of her legal career. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University. Eventually after raising a family, returned to school to obtain a law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. She began her career working for a small firm in Denver for a short time before going into private practice.

Most recently she focuses her practice on Wills, Trust and Estate Planning, Estate Planning to Protect Pets and Probate. At Gookin Law our vision is that everyone, no matter the size of their estate has an Estate Plan to protect their family, pets and business during death or disability. She is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Arizona and assists clients in both states with all their Estate Planning needs. She is also passionate about working with financial advisors and providing resources and education to them so they can help their clients understand the importance of Estate Planning.

One of her other passions has been juvenile defense and she acts as Alternative Defense Counsel for juveniles in the 19th and 8th Judicial District in Colorado for the over a decade. In addition, she acts as court appointed counsel for felony and misdemeanor cases in Larimer County, Colorado.

In her personal life she has four grown children and four grandchildren. She is an avid animal lover and lives on 35 acres in the mountains outside of Loveland, Colorado where she has five horses, seven dogs and four cats.
