Lousey Lawyer
Mrs Erin Richmond took over my case from the attorney who was originally assigned to it without my knowledge. My case was classified as "internet stalking" but was later reduced to harrassement(no minors involved). In 1987 I meet a woman by the name of Jennifer Ann Thigpen of Asheboro NC who after 3 ...
I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with my representation. However, your recitation of the events and circumstances of your case is highly inaccurate. I represented you when I was a public defender. I remember your cases very well. I am limited in what I can post because of attorney-client confidentiality. Mr. L., I can assure you that I never in any way conspired with the District Attorney against you. Contrary to your posting, as your attorney I was not able to offer you a plea deal, only the District Attorney could do that. I was obligated to thoroughly explain any plea offers extended to you, and that is what I did in your case. In fact, at your request, I was able to negotiate a more favorable plea deal than what the District Attorney originally offered. At a sentencing hearing, the District Attorney is permitted to make statements about your case and you. Often those statements cast a defendant in a negative light. That is not something I can object to. In addition, at a sentencing hearing your wife, or anyone else you want to, can make statements in support of you. I do not control, nor does the District Attorney, who chooses to make a statement in support of you, nor do I control what they say. At your sentencing hearing I did, as I always do, make a statement in support of you, highlighting for the Court your positive qualities, and appealing to the Court to accept the plea deal that had been negotiated. If you truly feel that my representation was in any way unethical or sub-par, then I would encourage you to file a complaint with the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation. I am confident that the representation I provided to you was excellent. In nearly 10 years of practice, and representing thousands of clients, I have never even had a complaint against me that was found to be worth investigating, much less substantiated.
"I endorse this lawyer. Erin is a tireless advocate for her clients. She is very knowledgeable and passionately defends her cases."
