Susan Deschler

Susan is an excellent attorney and a wonderful human being! I hired her for a jury trial in 2024. I interviewed over a half dozen lawyers before I chose Susan. All the attorneys I spoke to insisted I would likely lose, but promised to help minimize my sentencing. Susan was different. She list...ened to me when others would not. She always made herself available and explained how she could make no guarantees, but she asked more questions and researched deeper than the others. Susan gave me hope. I was turning myself on a probation violation in which I left the state. It was a third DUI. The judge was not happy and to be fair I didn’t do much to help myself. When I showed up to court on the violation Susan tried to help me get the warrant quashed. We were unsuccessful and the judge made it cl...ear he was going to sentence me to 1 year. I was arrested that day and Susan had 3 weeks to prepare for a sentencing hearing. She contacted me several times while I was in jail the 3 weeks leading up to the hearing. She was making sure she had all the information and explored every avenue. When I went before the judge she was very prepared and presented my case in a fantastic way. She really got all the relevant facts across and told the story my previous lawyer was unable to. As a result instead of getting 1 year in jail I was released that day and the case was closed! Mrs. Deschler helped me secure an amazing plea deal. I believe that I was falsely charged by a Summit County police officer. It left me with an overwhelming feeling of powerlessness, like I lacked any sort of ability to stand up for myself or my case. I felt highly disappointed in our justice system....
