Our case was pretty run of the mill, but Tim took the time to explain every detail so we understood what to expect. The entire process went flawlessly. Tim is the consummate professional. I highly recommend his services.
a few years ago we filed bankruptcy and we lost our home to foreclosure. was it our fault, health issues, societies greed in general ? I really don't know, but what I do know is, I'm very glad we hired Tim. that was a stressful time and it went on for almost two years. he never judged us and when we needed him, he was there, available to us personally and he relieved that stress. I'm honestly glad Tim was in our corner. thanks Tim!
I came to Colorado from western New York in 1971 (after a stint as a U.S. Merchant Marine). I came for a two week vacation and never went back. The mountains and the climate were more attractive than I could imagine and I realized I wanted to stay here. What I found most attractive, though, were the people. Their friendly and outgoing ways took me by surprise and I fell in love with them. I worked in a variety of jobs while completing my degree at CU Denver: construction, school bus driver, mental health worker, waiter and bartender. It was in this last incarnation that I met my wife of 33 years. I completed my law degree in 1982 and worked for a small firm until going out on my own in 1984. In the process my family grew with four wonderful children. We moved to the Evergreen/Conifer area in 1991 and have been here ever since. My practice is somewhat eclectic. I provide services in the areas of debt relief, real estate transactions, wills and probate and tax resolution. I get the most satisfaction out of helping my clients. Whether it's relieving the stress of paralyzing debt, completing a complicated real estate transaction or guiding a bereaved family through the death of a loved one, there is always the feeling of satisfaction knowing I have helped a fellow human being through a tough time. I have offices in Evergreen and Lakewood, but I often meet people at their home or other convenient place when they can't get here. When necessary for hearings, I have traveled to Grand Junction, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. I accept cases statewide. My fees are reasonable and I can often quote a flat fee. I give everyone a free consultation. It would be my pleasure to serve your legal needs.

Tim was an amazing attorney that went above and beyond
Tim helped out and answered questions every step of the way. He went way above and beyond to make the bankruptcy smooth as it can be! I have recommended him to several people in the last month.

Very Satisfied
My wife and I were acquainted with Tim Canty for many years in a social context, so it was natural that when we found we needed legal services we turned to him.
Our first engagement with him involved our purchase of a residential property in a short-sale transaction. Tim handled all of the paperwork in such a way that the transaction was both smooth and successful. It was our first such venture, and his expert guidance was truly invaluable to the success of that project.
Subsequently, when my wife inherited her late mother's home, Tim helped arrange the sale of the property to a sibling. Once again his participation insured that the transaction was both painless and effective.
Our most extensive engagement with Tim was the result of a dire financial situation in which we unexpectedly found ourselves. The circumstances were severe, but Tim helped us carefully evaluate our options. Ultimately we decided to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Tim helped us with the complex filing, including creating a bankruptcy plan we could live with. The process was arduous and stressful, but we recently completed our 5 year plan, and have just received our bankruptcy discharge. Tim was with us all the way. We are very satisfied with the outcome, and thankful for the many ways in which he helped us through the process. I can wholeheartedly recommend the legal services of Tim Canty.

Probate
At a time when burdens were heavy and decisions had to be made, I was blessed to be directed to Mr. Canty. His professional work ethic and knowledge in probate law allowed me to concentrate on other matters of importance.
