Experienced lawyer, Wonderful human!

I hope you are reading this review out of curiosity, however, my prayers and hopes go for you if you are in a legal trouble. In the latter case, the reasons you HAVE to work with Mrs. Watkins are the followings: 1) she is exceptionally experienced on the criminal DUI process, 2) she is decently famil...iar-with and respected-by the judiciary system, 3) she is realistic and reasonable, and 4) she is great human being. Without any doubts, I nominate Mrs. Watkins as the best criminal defense lawyer in the Boulder county. If you are interested in my story, here it goes…..I’m a 30yrs old working professional with doctorate-level education. I moved to Colorado last year and didn’t know about the DWAI laws and ended up being arrested for DUI+Reckless driving…God I was scared, horrified and was feeling helpless at the time. The whole world was spinning in my head. Alot of questions...ruminations...anxiety. I remembered that I sent emails to 4 different lawyers the next day (it was a Saturday)…Jennifer was the first one who called me less than 1hr afterwards. I talked to her and based on her questions immediately felt like “she knows this process very well!”. The impression that I never received from other lawyers that I talked to and/or met with. Fast forward, I met with her and shared my concerns regarding career, immigration, potential jail sentencing and etc. She was calm, respectful, nonjudgmental and empathic in regards. Based on her advise, I started Level II alcohol education class immediately and signed up for some volunteer works and MADD panel. It took 8weeks to appear before the judge with BAC of 0.07, however, we gathered and presented the documents regarding my attendances and my career. We plead quality on DWAI and reckless driving was dismissed. Unbelievably, my sentencing was lower that any minimums! No jail, no probation, no work release, no house arrest or etc. Just minimum fines and the finishing the level II classes with 24hr community service which already got credited from my volunteering. Takehome: There is a lot you can do before appearing in the court and Please do so! You wont’ believe how impactful those can be. It starts by calling Jennifer!

Daughter DUI

Ms Watkins did an outstanding job representing my daughter in her DUI case. She stepped us though all the appropriate actions we needed to take to get as favorable an outcome at here trial. Jennifer was able to convince the judge to review all the documentation she submitted rather than just hand ...down the penalties based on the BA Level. This resulted in a greatly reduced sentence.

I was represented in the best possible way with the very best possible outcome!

Jennifer Watkins is a very experienced, well educated, compassionate, and skilled DUI lawyer. I was extremely fortunate to have her represent me. Never having had any interactions with the law before and having a pretty serious set of charges against me, Jennifer was able to create a case that allowe...d me to fully accept what I had done and to find a way to step forward into a new life after the accident. She really cares about her clients, she is worth every penny that she charges and I have recommended her to anyone I have heard was in need of a fantastic DUI lawyer. She is extremely through and competent in regards to her work, she is honest and trustworthy and that is something so special when dealing with the vulnerability and shame that can come from a situation like this. I will end by saying that I highly recommend her to anyone needing a great DUI lawyer! I can only imagine that all her clients feel very well taken care of, well informed, and talked straight to, she doesn't mess around. The fact that she is kind and empathetic is a real gift and makes the whole process that much easier to move through and have a successful outcome no matter what the circumstances.

Phenomenal

I had an absolutely FANTASTIC experience with Jennifer. From the first time we spoke I was taken completely aback by her incredible level of compassion, understanding, and level of expertise. It was like I was speaking with a very old friend, yet one with immensely powerful legal abilities that truly... saved my butt in a very very scary and embarassing situation. She gave me an initial consultation that lasted for over an hour and a half - for free - where we spoke about everything from my charges, to life problems I had been having (for which she offered her own advice) ,to music! She took as much time as I needed, and then some, to truly help me understand what I was facing and what she could do for me. She made me feel that I truly had an ally in this seemingly hopeless situation. From my experience, Jennifer is not in this line of work solely for the money, like many DUI lawyers. She is not only is an incredibly kind and compassionate soul, but also one BADASS lawyer who fought tirelessly for me every step of the way - and was always there to respond thoroughly to any questions I had any time of day. The charges I was facing were very very scary after a horrible DUI incident, and she got my case reduced to literally the least amount of charges possible. I was facing a DUI, a careless driving charge, and the revocation of my license, and it got plead down to a DWAI, no careless driving charge, and the ability to keep my license. I can honestly not say enough good things about this woman and the work that she does. She has been fighting hard for clients in these kinds of situations in the Boulder area for 18+ years, and she is a true expert in her field. If you are looking for an all-star lawyer who is also incredibly empathetic and passionate about her clients well-being, and one who will help you feel human in this very de-humanizing position, please do not hesitate to call her. If, God forbid, I was ever in this situation again, or know anyone who was, I would absolutely not hesitate to hire or reccomend Jennifer again.
