The absolute best decision I've made.

I had never had need for an attorney and randomly found Jennifer Watkins when I ended up in a situation where I was facing driving under the influence, leaving the scene, and careless driving charges. I've since come to believe that there was nothing random about finding Ms. Watkins. She immediately ...empathized with what had happened in my case and noted how other circumstances in my life contributed to my situation. Jennifer Watkins is sharp, focused, intelligent, compassionate, and articulate She went to my DMV hearing, which I assumed from all I had read was only a formality and would mean the loss of my license, and won the case. Throughout the eight months of this legal process, Ms. Watkins worked tirelessly to provide me with the best possible outcome. She listened to me and supported me in a way that made it possible for me to make changes in my life that have created health and safety in my world. I never felt like I was another case for her. She cares very deeply for the people she helps. Close to my court date, the DA asked to meet with me to go over some lingering questions she had. Jennifer advised me on the pitfalls of doing that prior to my hearing, but after many discussions, we decided it felt right to do so. She asked me to tell my truth, which I did. At the close of that meeting, the DA let me know she would be filing a motion to dismiss all charges. She went on to note that the best thing I could have done was to hire Jennifer Watkins. She told me that she and her colleagues had discussed Ms. Watkins and the case and knew that if Ms.Watkins was pushing for dismissal, they needed to take a closer look at things. Her integrity has earned her the respect of the court system and the DA's office. Not only did Jennifer Watkins work diligently and tirelessly to have my case dismissed, but she also took the time and effort to put what had happened into the context of my life and what I had been going through as a human being. Stumbling upon Ms.Watkins and hiring her changed the course of my life and the course of my family's life. She was a bright light in one of the darkest periods of my life. I'm eternally grateful.

Need and attorney? Here's why I recommend Jennifer Watkins.

Sure, I could of avoided this entire legal situation if I had made more conscience choices. But since I didn’t - hiring Jennifer as my attorney was the best investment I could of made. It’s a scary time when being charged with a crime. All the possible outcomes racing through your head. Mo...st of the websites I visited looking for someone to represent me were the same. They talked about 2 things : 1) Fear of how bad it might get (which is true). AND… 2) How they are the greatest most experiences attorney in the world to help you out (maybe true, maybe not). It’s hard to determine who is going to help you more. I must have called a dozen attorneys after I was pulled over for a DUI. Jennifer’s website was different in that there were so many people who had taken the time to write reviews about how Jennifer had helped them. For me the voice became clear with our initial conversation. Jennifer took the extra time to walk me though the process and covered all the pros and cons of each of my choices. I immediately felt the first feeling of relief (since the arrest) when we spoke. It was then that I decided I wanted to retain Jennifer for my defense. And I’m happy I did! Jennifer was able to have the DUI charge dropped, the careless driving ticket I received at the same time and she managed to have the fine waived. I had to plead guilty to a lesser charge of DWAI which was fair. Conclusion: Jennifer had the DUI charge dismissed, saved me thousands of dollars in fees and fines and I highly recommend her as a experienced, effective criminal attorney. A walk in the park

After several weeks of ignoring an excessive speeding and reckless driving charge that I was terrified to face, I halfheartedly started searching for lawyers in the Denver / Boulder area. I searched and read reviews for several days. Unlike some of the other reviews I read, Jennifer's told a story ...of not only her work but her personality. I saw intelligence, passion, compassion, and experience. I decided to give her a call and was surprised when she personally picked up and reviewed the details of my case with me. After getting off the phone my only regret was that I had not found her reviews and called sooner. All of a sudden I was no longer alone and terrified facing this charge in the dark, but had Jennifer to enthusiastically and expertly navigate me through the process. Jennifer guided me and told me exactly what I needed to do for an optimal outcome and what was likely going to happen. She spoke very optimistically from day 1, so much so that I was a bit skeptical that things would work out the way she indicated. My skepticism was certainly not warranted. She helped adjust my court date to one that was convenient for me and on the day of court her confidence put me at ease while in the courtroom. Long story short, that day Jennifer turned my 14 point ticket into a 4 point ticket with a $100 fine. Jennifer saved me my license, my job, and my life as I know it, and I truly enjoyed working with her. Whatever charge it is that you are facing I guarantee you will be better off with Jennifer.

A Lawyer whose got your back

Hiring Jennifer Watkins was one of the best decisions I made after I got my DUI. She has been working in the Boulder/surrounding areas for almost 20 years, and she knows all of the specific laws and about who works those districts. She is dedicated, hard-working, and dependable. She was always str...aight-forward with me, and her advice comes from years of experience. With her advice, I requested a DMV hearing and that the arresting officer be present. When the officer failed to show up, I wont that hearing automatically. That means I got to keep my license when I should have lost it. Then, when we got a DA who was trying to give me harsh penalties (30 days in jail), she postponed the court date, which eventually led to a new DA taking over my case. She pushed the new DA until he agreed to drop the charges of DUI to DWAI, and drop the charges of Reckless Driving to Weaving. This greatly reduced the amount of fine, alcohol classes, probation, and community service that I would be court mandated. Also, under her guidance, I was able to persuade the judge not to sentence me to jail. Lastly, getting the Reckless Driving bumped down to Weaving kept the amount of points on my license under 12, which means that I get to keep my license and the right to drive. She was able to save my license twice, keep me out of jail, and minimize the penalties that I was served. To anyone considering hiring her, I strongly recommend that you do, because not only will she fight for you, she is a genuinely good person who enjoys helping people who make a mistake.

Wreck less driving

Was originally ticketed with wreck less driving (16 pts) and failure to notify the police (16 pts). Affter my court date I only had 3 pts and a 100$* fine
