A pleasurable person to know and an effective negotiator!!

Jennifer was extremely competent, diligent, knowledgeable and caring about my DUI case. She was a very effective negotiator helping to get multiple charges dropped and far reduced my sentencing. She is a good person and very much eased a good amount of the pain and suffering for me. She understands ...the system and the people involved she handled my many questions with patience and forethought. I would highly recommended her services to anyone!

Everything I could have asked for in an attorney... and more

Prior to writing this I read all the positive reviews about Ms. Watkins and wasn't sure how much stock to put in them. But, after working with her I can see why there are so many. She truly is a 5 star attorney! And it is not typical for me to write reviews, but I felt obligated to share my experi...ence with others to help them find such an amazing lawyer. For one, she was able to get my case completely dismissed through diligent efforts to prove my side of the story. The officer stated he pulled me over for a traffic violation, which did occur and actually was not possible from where I was driving. When pulled over, the officer never mentioned I committed this violation at the time and only added it later to show valid reason for the stop. Additionally, her long standing relationships within the local Court system opened the door for this testimony to be heard. It was quite clear to me she is respected as a servant of the people by both the D.A. as well as the judge, in that my perspective of what happened could have easily been ignored in favor of the officer's report. She has a firm grasp of the nuances of law, which she utilizes to navigate the best outcome for her clients. I'm sure for most people that is the top priority in hiring a lawyer (the best outcome in court) and with that I can assure you that you are choosing wisely in Ms. Watkins. Beyond this, hiring a lawyer generally implies being in a difficult situation with the impending threat of penalty, lost freedom, financial burden, etc. Its stressful, and one likely does not expect to hire a lawyer for a friendly ear and reassurance, but Ms. Watkins offers this throughout the entire process... in addition to her legal prowess. Even in the initial consultation, it was clear to me that she was different than the 20 plus lawyers I spoke with before her. She has a genuine nature about her that I believe stems from her passion for helping people above a simple paycheck. The amount of time she spent listening and discussing my situation with me was as valuable to me as the eventual outcome. Wrapping this thing up, without hesitation I would recommend Jennifer Watkins to anyone in need of a lawyer. She is excellent at what she does, has a great deal of experience, established respect and relationships within the local court system, and she practices law with the mind of an attorney, but the heart of a social worker.

Couldn't be happier.

I got a particularly bad DUI earlier this year in May which involved crashing my car into a river and having a BAC of .16. I had never been in trouble with the law before and needless to say, I was incredibly scared and anxious about my future. I started calling many lawyers in the Denver/Boulder are...a, and although many seemed alright, the biggest problem I seemed to have was a general a lack of concern with my case and me as a person. I know that lawyers are busy people, but I felt and still feel like you shouldn't just be treated like business as usual by someone you are paying to fight for your future. In my opinion, there should still be a sense of passion regardless of how many clients they have or how busy they are. It's your whole world on the line. So that said, when I spoke with Jennifer, I pretty much immediately knew she was the one I wanted to hire. She was incredibly kind, concerned, knowledgeable, and above all, she was the only lawyer I had spoken to who brought me an actual sense of comfort and hope. Throughout the entire process Jennifer was extremely available, very realistic about what to expect, and relentless in her efforts on my case. I never had to hound her to follow up about something or wait for days to get a response. I never had to cross check information or feel that there was more that could be done. I was confident in every aspect throughout the entire process with her. In the end my case went very quickly because upon my first court appearance Jennifer was able to score me an offer that legally couldn't have been better. As such, I did not want to take it to trial and I chose to take the offer . What started out as a DUI with potential jail time and other harsh consequences ended up as a DWAI with no jail time and a few other lenient and minor consequences. Yes, I'll still have this on my record. But truth be told, God himself couldn't have gotten me out of that one scotch free. Jennifer worked brilliantly and landed me the best possible outcome that legally could have come of my case. I don't feel like my future is ruined anymore or like I have no hope. And for that I will forever be thankful.

1st degrees Felony Assault charges dropped

Jenna watkins is a very honest and truthful lawyer ,she will not lie to you and give you false expectations but she will work as hard as she can for you no doubt. She was there for me professionally and emotionally throughout my whole case. I have felony charges in the 1st° assault with a deadly w...eapon dropped to a deferred felony and now I'm free with with a clear record. If you did bad and you want another chance in life call jenna. All these other boulder lawyer will overcharge and not really care about the outcome of your verdict.

Jennifer's Magic Powers

Darkness had fallen on my journey through life when I found I had two warrants for my arrest with a couple DUIs along with a probation violation and failure to appear in court. There was an irresistible temptation to avoid the situation as long as possible. Police knocked on my door as I locked mysel...f in. When the anxiety of constantly ducking the cops became overwhelming, I decided to post bail and get it over with. “They’ll understand. This probably happens all the time,” I thought. At the hearing I was feeling optimistic until sitting down with the DA. Across the table was my bad karma personified as a woman with hair like Medusa and a thick black mark on her forehead that i couldn’t stop staring at. Was she making a fashion statement or having a makeup crisis? Turns out it was just Ash Wednesday, but my stress induced hallucinations made it a bit terrifying. I realized there were some consequences to face and I had succumb to the idealism of my nature. In many words, she said I’d be going to jail for a year. My response did not surprise her. “Nope.” I was willing to accept whatever penalty, but a year in jail was not an option. I needed to find an attorney. After doing some research online, Ms. Watkins looked like a great option. Once we spoke on the phone, I knew she was the one! Jennifer told me exactly what to do so she could get the best possible outcome. I felt instant relief with my legal situation in her hands. My knowledge of the system is very minimal, but I was blown away by the way she skillfully managed my case. Also, she was able to recommend a better place for the DUI class that is not on the list the probation office gives out. At the hearing, with Jennifer in my corner, there was no worries. She worked out a deal with the DA before the hearing that was almost too good to believe. Not only did she reverse the impending doom of a jail cell, but she got a better sentence than I ever expected. The judge gave me nothing but some day reporting and i got to continue my probation like nothing ever happened. To my surprise, she went on and got the judge to lower my sentence even further with the possibility of early termination leaving all this craziness behind in a few months. Now, my only regret is not having Jennifer by my side from the beginning. Her expertise goes beyond just knowledge of the court system, as she has personal relationships with all the judges and the DAs in the area. It’s as if they can’t resist her charm and will go easy just because she is with you. Jennifer somehow, magically turned my life around and I wish there were better words to describe how amazing she is as a professional and a person.
