Beware of Scott Hamerslough Attorney!

I had reached out to Scott out of sheer desperation because he had been referred online to me by someone who had gone through a similar parental alienation situation. After 10+ years of trying to be a good dad, I was thoroughly defeated by the time I reached out to him and Scott had assured me that h...e was "different" because he had a background in psychology and he was not a typical attorney and how he understood the dynamics of the situation I had been through. All I wanted was things to be right so I could focus on parenting my daughter and not the nonsense that I have been put through. Scott was supposed to make this right and instead his communication/efforts were nothing short of horrific. He never committed to the things he said he would do nor respond in a timely fashion after we had to have a number of discussions on this subject and he would promise me that he would discontinue being so dismissive and return messages in a timely fashion yet he would continue to do it time after time until I had no choice but discontinue working with him and am now seeking a refund. Plus, far worse is I now am having to take steps to relinquish custody of my daughter who is all I have because I have had my entire life destroyed trying to do the right thing and needed an attorney desperately to make it right. Scott was my last hope. I am disgusted by a person who when I was nothing but forthcoming from day one about what I've been through, he took on the responsibility and instead of having care and concern was completely dismissive and indifferent. Typical attorney as usual. Hope you are pleased with what you have done.

Best in class divorce lawyer!

I think that my divorce could be classified 'high conflict'. My now, ex-wife, is a mentally ill alcoholic, who abused me and my 2 sons. After many efforts to work with therapists and rehabilitation professionals, to bring sanity to our family, I embraced that I needed a divorce to protect me, and m...y sons. I began speaking with Scott before I had fully accepted the hopelessness of my situation. Scott was extremely supportive and patient, from the start. His background in mental healthcare made him the best lawyer for my case, by far. And I interviewed at least a dozen! Throughout the case, Scott provided invaluable guidance. He calmed me down when I needed reassurance. He gave me a nudge when I needed motivation. He navigated every situation with aplomb. I have been told that few people in similar situations ever reach an outcome as favorable as mine. I am now a single full time dad with peace of mind that their mother's parenting time must be supervised. And Scott's MBA helped to shape a settlement where the financial details were outstandingly positive for me. If you are looking at divorce with a high conflict personality, Scott is your man.

Good to Excellent

Scott is very knowledgeable in every aspect of family law. Very professional in court and meetings. He gives thoughtful, experienced advise which was crucial for my custody battle. Works very hard, but at the same time makes an effort to minimize costs. Fair, honest, forthright and available during s...tressful crucial times when I needed him. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
