I requested a Legal Strategy Session (a paid service) with Alisha Taibo to meet and discuss my case, and a retainer. I arrived at her office 15min early of our scheduled meeting. After 45min of waiting, her personal secretary informs me she is currently on a phone call and will be with me shortly. Af...ter another 15min I was advised that 'her settlement phone call ran late but she now has another meeting to attend and cannot reschedule as she will be out of town for the remainder of the week'. Her secretary then hands me a packet of low income legal clinics that I can contact for free legal advice. I was taken aback. I immediately felt insulted and disregarded. Not only did I wait for an hour, take time away from my office, and drive to her location, but now I was being sent away without the anticipated help I was hoping to receive. I found this to be extremely poor business practice and in no way did I ever lead her to believe that I would need a low income option. At this point she knew nothing of my case or my situation. I have since taken my time and money elsewhere. (Side note, the front receptionist was kind and helpful and is not the personal secretary mentioned above.)
