About Travis
Biography
Travis S. Whitson, Esq. now proudly spearheads his own law practice, Whitson Family Law, building upon a foundation of dedicated legal service and a passion for supporting families. He is a Colorado native, raised on the Western Slope of Colorado, and moved to the Front Range in 2000. Travis is a Boettcher Scholarship Award recipient and graduated with honors from The Colorado College, obtaining bachelor degrees in both psychology and philosophy. Travis received his Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2008, where he was staff editor of The University of Denver Sturm College of Law Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. Throughout his education, Travis has worked with organizations that focus on diverse family structures, youth at-risk, and children that have been the victim of severe abuse and neglect.
Travis continues a family tradition of volunteership to support local organizations that center on youth and building healthy families. He was a founding member of the Mount Saint Vincent Home at-risk child mentorship program, volunteer teacher at Third-Way of Denver, volunter for divorce/family legal aid, and has worked numerous adoption events for children in need of loving parents. Travis brings this experience into his practice with the goal of nurturing diverse solutions that work for individual family situations.
Travis is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado. His practice centers on Family Law, including divorce and child custody, but also all legal matters that affect the family unit, from adoption to divorce.

To the point... a very good thing
Had a free consult with Travis, I had an idea of what to expect, but he brought up points that I hadn't considered. Very worth my time, if I need to retain an attorney, I would have felt confident in hiring him.
