YOU WILL LOSE

Whatever you do, do NOT use Terry Lopez as your attorney. She was provided to me through a state service for a domestic abuse issue. At the hearing, she didn't question the defendant, nor did she use any of the evidence I gave her. Let me say that again: SHE DIDN'T QUESTION THE DEFENDANT OR USE MY EV...IDENCE!!!!! Terry allowed the opposing attorney to bully me with inappropriate questions--I'm not an attorney and even I knew when Terry should have objected! I'd also like to mention several other things: she showed up late to the hearing, she kept leaving the courtroom again and again for no reason, she was unbelievably rude when I texted her with a question about my case, her office is in a GARAGE. No, I'm not kidding (although I wish I was). She's disorganized, unprofessional, and not competent in law. I am shocked she is licensed. Terry lost me my case. The defendant, who had assaulted, stalked, and harassed me, got off without a hitch. Terry embarrassed me. She allowed me to be questioned for HOURS. She was completely unprepared. Terry is incompetent. The opposing counsel was completely out of her league. I was alone in the courtroom. I had no support from Terry whatsoever. She even asked the judge if we could "keep the hearing short." Seriously, she said that. She didn't want to be there and she didn't care about my case. I want better for anyone reading this. Eventually I switched to a better attorney, who said, "You would have been better off without Terry."

Bad bad experience

I was lead to believe Mrs. Lopez was a competent lawyer. She is very bright but lacks the follow theough to be of any worth to anyone. She promises to have certain time sensitive documents done at a certain time and then fails to deliver. When you reach out to her she has 100 reasons as to why she di...dn’t deliver and then gives another false date. My heart is broken. She cost me custody, child support, time, money and dignity. One of the worse lawyers I have ever dealt with. Heart broken is putting it lightly.
