PENNY MERKEL IS PROBABLY THE ABSOLUTE WORST LAWYER IN THE DENVER AREA WHEN IT COMES TO WORKMANS COMP. I called her while still in hospital. Helpless. She claimed to need my medical records first. I was unable to send them to her. Was unable to even get them until I was out of h...ospital for 2 Weeks. In the meantime (after released from hospital) I obtained mini-records from pinnacol insurance (whom I am suing) and delivered them to her office. Then, she has the nerve to tell me that she needs to get a copy of the surveillance tape. I tried to get it. INSURANCE COMPANY TELLS ME TO GO TO MYBEMPLOYER. I DO THAT. MYBL EMPLOYER TELLS ME THAT THEY NEED PERMISSION FROM INSURANCE COMPANY. I was in pickle. Without this tape, she won't sign on to be lawyer. I FELT SCREWED. I WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UP. I THEN contacted several attorneys and I actually signed one on. THIS INDIVIDUAL TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD GET COPIES OF MY MEDICAL RECORD AND SURVEILLENCE TAPES. THIS INDIVIDUAL WAS ABLE TO DO GROUNDWORK THEMSELVES. A REAL LAWYER. THIS LAWYER TOOK MY CASE SIMPLY BY LISTENING TO MY STORY. BECAUSE HE BELUEVED IN ME. PENNY MERKEL is HORRIBLE LAWYER AND PERSON. PENNY MERKELS ASSISTANT CALLS ME 5 DAYS AGO AND ASKS IF I GOT VIDEO YET. CALLS ME 12 DAYS AFTER THE DEADLINE TO FILE SUIT HAS PASSED. VERY TERRIBLE LAWYER. DO NOT USE PENNY MERKEL. DO NOT CONSULT WITH HER. SHECUSCHORRIBLY INCOMPETANT. I DID NOT GO TO LAW SCHOOL. I DO NOT STUDY LAW. HOWEVER, SHE WANTED ME TO DO HER JOB FOR HER. I.E. MEDICAL RECORDS, GETTING SURVEILLENCE TAPES, etc. I, GUY WITHOUT A LAW DEGREE, WOULD MAKE A BETTER LAWYER THAN SHE. PENNY AND JODY MERKEL ARE NOTHING BUT WANNABE CHARLATANS.

Penny takes great pride in what she does as an attorney. She is by far a very considerate individual who cares about you and your case from start to finish. Penny and her staff are always there when you need them, they are thorough and very professional. If there was anything I didn't understand abo...ut my case Penny was very knowledgeable and patient about explaining it to me so that i could understand it better. I highly recommend Penny and her staff, they're by far the most professional team you can have by your side. Thanks Penny.
