Highly Recommended

I would recommend Mark Chapleau and his team without hesitation for the impeccable job he did representing myself and my daughter's best interest in my complicated and what would be considered "ugly" divorce. At a difficult time, where I was caught off guard and not prepared for this life changing e...vent, Mark kept me focused on the important issues and made sure every decision I made was in the best interest of my daughter. With the opposing party using questionable tactics, the strategy Mark and his team put together was precise and effective. Throughout the entire process, I was guided with direct and honest advice which kept me from being tempted into taking the same questionable road as the opposing party, which helped immensely in the end. One particular trait I never hear people talk about when recommending an attorney is how important it is for your attorney to hold you accountable and ensure a high standard of behavior and etiquette is maintained. Not afraid to let me know when I would seem to be acting selfish or making a decision that could hurt me in the future turned out to be very important. At my final hearing, Mark's skill set and performance clearly out shined the opposing counsel. The final argument was presented in away that was more like a form of art rather than just a statement of facts. If you are looking for a legal professional who will coddle you and let you use questionable tactics, Mark is probably not the right attorney for you. However if you are looking for an attorney who will represent you in a highly ethical manner while keeping you focused and in line to get results, you can NOT go wrong by hiring Mr. Chapleau. My daughter and I thank you for everything you did.

Excells with fathers Rights and custody issue violations !

Mr. Chapleau handled my initial divorce, and did a very good job ! His staff as well as Mr. Chapleau kept me informed, up to date, and helped me with real issues that cropped up. After the divorce was finalized, there continued to be cases of interference in my rightful and court ordered parenting ...time and ability with my son. Mr Chapleau as well as his whole staff was right there to help me through each of those issues as they arose with expert, timely legal advice and guidance, even to the point of filing contempt charges as well as enforcement of parenting time actions with the Court. When the week of our hearing arrived, I was put at ease, and had all of my questions answered by Mr . Chapleau through his considerable resources and time. He made me feel as if there was no other case as important to him as mine and my son! In court, he performed admirably, with skill and knowledge. He was incredible to say the least. Thank you Mr Chapleau for all of your time, help, experience, and caring to me and my son !

Excellant Fathers Rights and Childrens rights attorney!

Mr. Chapleau represented me in my divorce. He is very aggressive about my rights as a father even with some difficult custody issues in my divorce. He also clearly had my sons best interests in mind, and did not hesitate to let me know when I was being selfish, and not looking after my sons best in...terests. He has a whole office and staff that are very knowledgeable and personable. I never felt like "just a client" when i was there. They all were concerned about me and my son as well. Mark's knowledge of Family and Divorce law in Colorado is amazing. He is well respected by some, and I think feared by opposing attorneys due to his well deserved reputation. After the divorce was finalized, he did not withdraw and leave me hanging. Rather, he has stayed on and has taught me how to deal with my ex, and resolve many issues amongst ourselves. I have no doubt, however, that he is ready at a moments notice to take charge and go to court again on my or my sons behalf should it be necessary. I would readily use him again, and I think that i could find no other attorney that I would recommend to my friends, neighbors,m and anyone contemplating a divorce.

PCDM review

Mark consistently appears rushed, pays little attention to detail, and makes hasty judgments without fully reviewing the facts. He was court-appointed to my case as a PCDM, and the first matter he addressed involved my ex attempting to force my daughter to return to a facility where she had previousl...y been sexually assaulted. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he sided with my ex, effectively requiring my daughter to relive a traumatic experience. Unfortunately, this set the pattern for his involvement. He frequently seemed frustrated when asked to fulfill his responsibilities and appeared to direct that frustration toward the party seeking his involvement. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against hiring him and recommend avoiding him if possible.

Money

All I can say is you better have A LOT of money for Mark. I paid $10,000 to retain and for expenses throughout court. I thought that this would be plenty, boy was I wrong. He Nicole and dimed me everywhere and blew threw the money very fast. With all that money spent not one thing has been accomplish...ed. It's a year and a half later and still nothing accomplished, but of course he wants more money. What for I ask...you haven't done anything helpful! What a complete waste of time and money! He clearly doesn't care about his clients and what's in the best interest of the child/children. He simply cares about the money!

"I have mediated multiple cases for Mark, and my experience is that he is even-keeled, thoughtful, respectful of his client's needs, and otherwise an excellent lawyer. Mark does an excellent job of addressing his client's needs with the risk, reward, and emotional and financial expense of the legal process. His common sense approach of trying to resolve cases is superb and, if the case does not resolve, he has the wherewithal and ability to pursue his client's interests in court."
