Mark D Chapleau

Mark Chapleau was not my attorney when I divorced five years ago. This was a costly mistake and a big regret. My divorce proceedings were long, ugly, difficult, expensive and inequitable. And, unfortunately, they may never be over as my ex-wife is always looking to battle on parenting time and chi...ld support. The difference now is that I have Mr. Chapleau for representation. This has been a game changer. When my legal struggles with my ex-wife continued long after the papers were signed, I began searching for an attorney specializing in fathers' rights. I have been working with Mr. Chapleau for three years and it has really turned things around in my life. He is a wonderful navigator and guide through divorce. My case always seems important to him and that it gets his full attention. He has been thorough in every detail. He cares about my two sons' best interests and always gives thoughtful, fair advice. Mr. Chapleau's skills are most evident in the courtroom. We were in court recently and his closing was fantastic. It's such a good feeling to know that your case is in the best hands and that it is being presented effectively. I wish I had known Mr. Chapleau at the beginning of my divorce. It would have prevented so much future hassle and expense. I am grateful every day to have him now and I give the highest recommendation for his work.

Mr. Chapleau represented me in my divorce. He is very aggressive about my rights as a father even with some difficult custody issues in my divorce. He also clearly had my sons best interests in mind, and did not hesitate to let me know when I was being selfish, and not looking after my sons best in...terests. He has a whole office and staff that are very knowledgeable and personable. I never felt like "just a client" when i was there. They all were concerned about me and my son as well. Mark's knowledge of Family and Divorce law in Colorado is amazing. He is well respected by some, and I think feared by opposing attorneys due to his well deserved reputation. After the divorce was finalized, he did not withdraw and leave me hanging. Rather, he has stayed on and has taught me how to deal with my ex, and resolve many issues amongst ourselves. I have no doubt, however, that he is ready at a moments notice to take charge and go to court again on my or my sons behalf should it be necessary. I would readily use him again, and I think that i could find no other attorney that I would recommend to my friends, neighbors,m and anyone contemplating a divorce.

Mark consistently appears rushed, pays little attention to detail, and makes hasty judgments without fully reviewing the facts. He was court-appointed to my case as a PCDM, and the first matter he addressed involved my ex attempting to force my daughter to return to a facility where she had previousl...y been sexually assaulted. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he sided with my ex, effectively requiring my daughter to relive a traumatic experience. Unfortunately, this set the pattern for his involvement. He frequently seemed frustrated when asked to fulfill his responsibilities and appeared to direct that frustration toward the party seeking his involvement. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against hiring him and recommend avoiding him if possible.

All I can say is you better have A LOT of money for Mark. I paid $10,000 to retain and for expenses throughout court. I thought that this would be plenty, boy was I wrong. He Nicole and dimed me everywhere and blew threw the money very fast. With all that money spent not one thing has been accomplish...ed. It's a year and a half later and still nothing accomplished, but of course he wants more money. What for I ask...you haven't done anything helpful! What a complete waste of time and money! He clearly doesn't care about his clients and what's in the best interest of the child/children. He simply cares about the money!
