Valerie Lynn Cole

Valerie is a criminal defense specialist who, for over 15 years, has consistently achieved positive results for her clients. She is a former Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade, Florida, and Deputy Public Defender in both the Montrose and Denver Trial Offices of the Colorado State Public Defender. Valerie has helped thousands of people accused of crimes preserve their dignity and freedom against a wide range of criminal allegations, including homicides, assaults, sexual assaults, property crimes, violent crimes, weapons offenses domestic violence, drug and alcohol-related crimes, and financial crimes including COCCA cases. In addition to her trial work, she has also represented clients in a variety of appellate matters including postconviction work including reconsiderations of sentences and litigation of postconviction claims.

Valerie understands that even the mere allegation of criminal activity can have a significant disruption in her clients’ lives. She is a fierce advocate that isn’t afraid to take on the district attorney’s office, police officers, or complaining witnesses to help her clients achieve the best possible results. As a result of her dedication to her client Valerie has successfully litigated countless pretrial motions and has achieved numerous acquittals and pretrial dismissals in a wide variety of felony charges.

Valerie worked for the Polansky Law Firm as a Lead Trial Attorney before forming Colerado Law. Her practice focuses on serious felonies and complex litigation in both State and Federal Courts.
