Gwendolyn M. Ruescher

I just got the best news of my life on May 11, 2026 because of Gwendolyn Ruescher. She is an Associate at the Juba Law Office and I met Gwendolyn because of a very unfortunate event that happened February 2026. I was taken into custody for Domestic Violence. The three months that spanned from Feb...ruary until May were the worst I had ever experienced. At age 63 I had never had any criminal charges and the entire experience was very scary, embarrassing and nerve-wracking for me. That's where Gwendolyn's strengths shined through. She was very personable and professional and explained every step of the way to a newcomer in a way that I could understand. Her knowledge was apparent and she articulated it extremely well. Each time we had a conversation, she asked if I had any questions; this thoroughness also gave me peace of mind. Her confidence gave me confidence even when at two separate court appearances, the judge was quite dismissive and condescending to her. Gwendolyn was undaunted and the first time she refrained from saying anything because as my advocate, she did what was right by me. The second time when he tried to ignore her question, she just bided her time and asked her question again and got an answer. To me, this speaks volumes about Gwendolyn's style and maturity in the courtroom. When my case was getting down to the wire of going before a jury, Gwendolyn filed a motion that is what got my case dismissed. Her motion was flawless and pointed to three of my amendments that were violated. At court May 11th the city attorney called Gwendolyn over to basically say they did not want to litigate against her and wanted to dismiss my case. When Gwendolyn and I were before the judge receiving the final ruling, the same judge who had been dismissive of Gwendolyn said to me that I should "thank my attorney." Another win!
